Jan Jensen was a new Iowa assistant coach at Iowa in 2000 when Randi Henderson was a senior player. Twenty-four years later, the two native Iowans have reunited. Henderson is a new Hawkeyes assistant coach for new head coach Jensen.

Bill Quinby insisted on not having a funeral, but OKed a celebration of life, which happened Saturday at Coe College. Dignitaries such as former Iowa Governor Chet Culver and University of Iowa football coach Kirk Ferentz spoke, honoring one of Cedar Rapids’ finest, who died in April at age 92.

A Cedar Falls native (she was Miss Iowa Basketball in 1997) and former Iowa player, Randi Henderson has been named to Jan Jensen’s staff, as has Sean Sullivan.
