Cornell’s Elise Oleson doesn’t mind the pressure when she has the chance to help her team win. She connected on a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth for a 4-1 victory over Coe in the opener of a softball doubleheader at home. Kohawks rebounded for a 5-4 win in the nightcap.

Coe’s Bryce Parke posted three straight victories to reach the 133-pound final at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships on Saturday in Providence, R.I. He earned a runner-up finish and was one of four Kohawk All-Americans this year, including his brother, Brayden, who placed fifth at 125.

Coe posted a 2-0 dual record and entered the holiday break with a successful showing at the North Central Open. The Kohawks are in the midst of a training phase to prepare for the second half of the season, which begins with the NWCA Multi-Divisional Duals on Jan. 10-11 at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.
