The 2020 Iowa high school girls' state basketball tournament continued Tuesday with seven more quarterfinal games at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

CLASS 3A QUARTERFINALS
No. 3 Sioux City Heelan 50, No. 9 Des Moines Christian 38
Heelan used an 18-4 run to break away from a 17-17 tie in the third quarter and advance to the semifinals despite 2-for-17 3-point shooting.
DMC rallied to get within 39-34 with 4:07 to play but got no closer. The Lions (22-3) had 20 turnovers to Heelan's eight.
Ella Skinner was 7-of-11 from the field and led the Crusaders (20-4) with 19 points. Amber Aesoph added 14. Moriah Prewitt paced DMC with 19 points.
CLASS 4A QUARTERFINALS
No. 1 North Scott 63, No. 15 Clear Creek Amana 43
After upsetting No. 2 Marion in the regional finals, the Clippers' run ended against top-ranked North Scott (24-0) in the state quarterfinals.
The Lancers jumped out to a 25-9 lead after the first quarter and led 36-17 at halftime. Northern Iowa commit Grace Boffeli was 10 of 13 from the field and totaled 28 points and nine rebounds.
CCA (19-5) was led by Megan Harvey's 14 points in the school's first girls' state basketball tournament appearance.

No. 5 Center Point-Urbana 45, No. 6 Waverly-Shell Rock 41 (OT)
CPU (22-2), last year's Class 3A state champion, advanced to the semifinals for the fifth straight year.
The Stormin' Pointers trailed 21-13 at halftime and were down 11 with 3:10 left in the third, but stormed back to tie it at 34 on Adrianna Katcher's 3-pointer midway through the fourth.
Peyton Kriegel hit a go-ahead 3-pointer to put CPU up 40-38 with 2:03 left in overtime and the Pointers never trailed again. The Go-Hawks had the ball down three with 4.5 seconds left, but Ryley Goebel tipped and stole a pass in the backcourt to seal the win.
Bryn Hadsall led CPU with 14 points. Katcher was 2 of 13 from the floor, but 7 of 8 at the line, finishing with 12 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Abbie Draper had 14 points and 10 boards for WSR (20-3), which lost the regular-season meeting as well, 40-38.

No. 3 Glenwood 89, No. 8 Gilbert 75
Glenwood racked up 89 points in a quarterfinal win and only needed two 3-pointers to do it. The Rams were 24 of 39 (61.5%) on 2-point shots and 35 of 45 (77.8%) from the free-throw line.
Glenwood led 45-39 at halftime and had six players in double-figures scoring, led by 21 points apiece from Jenna Hopp and Madison Camden. Elle Scarborough added 15, Abby Hughes scored 12 and Brynlee Arnold, Coryl Matheny and each had 10.
Ava Hawthorne put up 31 points, six assists and five steals for Gilbert (19-4), which never led in the game's final 30 1/2 minutes despite staying within striking distance most of that time. It was 60-57 entering the fourth quarter.
No. 7 Lewis Central 47, No. 4 Ballard 46 (OT)
Only five points were scored in the overtime period as Lewis Central (20-5) advanced. McKenna Pettepier's 3-pointer on the first possession of the extra session proved to be the game-winner. It was Pettepier's only three points of the game.
Brooke Loewe's shot at the buzzer for Ballard (22-2) was off the mark.
Delaney Esterling forced OT with a basket with five seconds left and led the Titans with 21 points. Maggie Larson had 13 for the Bombers.
CLASS 2A QUARTERFINALS
No. 1 Cascade 41, Denver 28
The Cougars limited the Cyclones (17-9) to 25-percent shooting to stay undefeated at 26-0.
Cascade was in control from the start, leading 13-3 after one and 26-8 at halftime.
Nicole McDermott scored 19 points on 9-for-15 shooting. Reese Johnson and Jaden McMahon led Denver with eight points each.

No. 5 Osage 50, No. 6 West Branch 43
Osage (23-2) outscored West Branch 15-4 in the fourth quarter, holding the Bears without a point until there was 1:30 remaining.
Sidney Brandau totaled 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Green Devils, who rallied quickly after falling behind 10-0 and 13-2. It was 24-21 West Branch at halftime.
Rylan Druecker led the Bears (21-3) with 14 points.
