A woman who died in a crash in Marion last week was identified Monday as 72-year-old Linda St. John, of Stanwood.

The woman struck a slow-moving Iowa Department of Transportation snowplow truck that was on the left shoulder conducting a maintenance project.

One person was killed in a crash Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 100 and East Post Road in Marion.

At 11:25 a.m., north of North Liberty near mile marker 7, northbound traffic had slowed down and started to back up for towing that was happening near mile marker 9.

Two people who died in a 15-vehicle pileup outside Iowa City on Sunday morning have been identified by the Iowa State Patrol.

DES MOINES — Police arrested an Iowa man Thursday in the death of a 4-year-old boy who was killed when a car that was racing on a city street crossed into oncoming lanes and crashed into two vehicles.

The collisions happened along a four-lane thoroughfare in Des Moines, where police said a car and an SUV were racing.

One person was killed Wednesday morning in a crash outside Cedar Rapids, at the intersection of Highway 13 and Mount Vernon Road SE, according to a news release from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

The study took place between September of 2019 and July of 2021 at trauma centers in Iowa City, Iowa; Miami and Jacksonville, Florida; Charlotte, North Carolina; Baltimore; Worcester, Massachusetts; and Sacramento, California. Medical examiners at four of the sites also took part.

Tyler Rosenthal, 21, was driving a Honda CR-V west in the eastbound lanes of Highway 30, according to the crash report.
