CLASS 3A QUARTERFINALS
Norwalk 4, Clear Creek Amana 3
Norwalk (18-5) scored twice in the bottom of the fourth to take a 4-2 lead and held off a seventh-inning Clear Creek Amana (16-6) rally to advance.
The Warriors took the lead when Brock Miller drew a leadoff walk and later scored on a throwing error, then got a crucial insurance run via a wild pitch after Tanner Foltz was also walked. CCA loaded the bases with one out in the seventh and scored one run on a fielder's choice grounder, but reliever Drew Leek got a strikeout and popout to end the game.

Marion 3, No. 2 Sergeant Bluff-Luton 1
Marion (11-10) became the second No. 8 seed to knock off a No. 1 seed in this year's state baseball tournament after Kingsley-Pierson beat Martensdale-St. Mary's in Class 1A on Friday.
Sergeant Bluff-Luton (20-4) drew eight walks but only managed four hits off Dane Carstensen (six innings) and Owen Puk (one inning), leaving two runners on base in the fifth and sixth innings and the bases loaded in the seventh. Puk struck out Spencer Kleene, who came in with a .347 batting average, looking to end it.
Marion took the lead in the second when a high pop fly dropped in shallow center field and went up 2-0 in the fourth on a sac fly from Gage Franck. Jake Trca, who scored the first run after drawing a walk, added an RBI double in the fifth.
