One pedestrian bridge opened in 2021; second one is half-way done

If proper CPR is started immediately on someone experiencing a heart attack or injury that stops their blood flow, the odds of a positive outcome are increased about 10-fold. But it often takes longer than five minutes for paramedics to arrive at a scene, so class organizers are hoping to have more community members trained in CPR and ready to act.

Seventh Avenue, which has been under construction since July, opened Friday. Other than work on the 11th Street plaza area, Phase 1 is complete. Phase 2 is scheduled to begin in the spring.
