A Marion man who is charged with killing four people with a metal pipe in June told law enforcement that “he felt better after this and the pain in his head was no longer there,” according to an unsealed search warrant. Detectives found him sitting on a sidewalk near the crime scene when they arrived.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of the person who was killed Saturday in a UTV crash in rural Linn County.

The injuries to the individual are not life-threatening, according to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

She didn’t know of any connection they had with the accused killer.

The suspect in quadruple murder is due now back in court to face upgraded charges.
