The Eagles rallied with a six-run inning to defeat Northeast (Neb.), 10-2, in seven innings. They will face Iowa Central in the Region XI tournament final.

After six years, Kane Thompson will step down as the head wrestling coach at Cedar Rapids Prairie, accepting an administrator position within the College Community School District.

Monticello Coach Curt Tauke realized experience and depth would be a strength this season. The Panthers proved it to be true with a strong regular season. Monticello will compete in an IHSAA Class 3A sectional golf meet Friday.
