But as demand for the COVID-19 vaccine has dropped sharply in parts of the state, Iowa’s local public health officials aren’t confident their communities will reach that threshold.
Iowa on Friday reported 70 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of people in the state who have tested positive since March 2020 to 372,964, according to data from the Iowa Department of Public Health.
