Iowa girls' state basketball 2019: Wednesday's scores, stats and more

The last day of quarterfinals at the Iowa high school girls' state basketball tournament brought us six games, a pair in Class 2A and four in Class 1A.
Here's a look at the scores and stats plus extended coverage of area teams.

Wednesday's state tournament schedule
CLASS 2A QUARTERFINALS
No. 2 Central Decatur 57, No. 12 Aplington-Parkersburg 49
The second-ranked Cardinals (23-0) recovered to stay undefeated and advance after falling behind 13-2.
A-P (23-3) led 27-22 at halftime, then Central Decatur took the lead midway through the third quarter. The Falcons turned it over 22 times.
No. 3 Treynor 53, No. 8 North Linn 44
Konnor Sudmann had 20 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals to power the Cardinals (24-1) to the next round.
North Linn (21-2) shot 26.5 percent, including 4 of 24 from 3-point range. Kylie Kurt led the Lynx with 14 points.
CLASS 1A QUARTERFINALS
No. 1 Newell-Fonda 69, Springville 39
Top-ranked Newell-Fonda had 37 steals and ended three-time defending champion Springville's reign atop Class 1A.
The Mustangs (25-0) shot to a 13-2 lead and led 40-14 at halftime. Springville finished 16-10.
No. 7 Bellevue Marquette 62, No. 6 Clarksville 49
Marquette led 29-26 at halftime, then outscored Clarksville 17-8 in the third quarter to build a double-digit lead and move on.
Lizzy Parker led the Mohawks (22-2) with 19 points while Macey Kremer and Miranda Peters added 14 apiece. Kori Wedeking scored 20 points on 9-for-23 shooting for the Indians (20-3) and pulled down 11 rebounds.
No. 2 West Hancock 67, No. 11 North Mahaska 54
Rachel Leerar scored 23 points on 8-for-15 shooting and handed out six assists to lead West Hancock (24-1) to the semifinals.
Three other Eagles scored in double figures as the team shot 49 percent: Mahayla Faust (12), Amanda Chizek (11) and Kennedy Kelly (10). Emma Tyrrel led the Warhawks (15-5) with 16.
No. 3 Montezuma 59, No. 8 Anita CAM 45
Montezuma (22-2) fell behind 16-4 in the first quarter but quickly recovered to take a 25-22 lead at halftime and pull away in the second half.
Iowa commit Shateah Wetering led the way with 17 points, seven rebounds, four steals and three blocks. Elise Boulton added 13 points. Madison Gettler scored a game-high 19 and pulled down eight boards for CAM (21-3).
