Cedar Rapids police still were searching for a suspect Saturday after an officer was hit by a vehicle during an attempted traffic stop Friday night on 32nd Street NE.

Juan Cavazos was not hit by gunfire, but suffered injuries when he subsequently crashed the vehicle in rural Kossuth County, police said.
