The level of top girls’ golfers could be at an all-time high in the Metro. Six top-10 individuals in Classes 3A and 4A and three teams ranked in the top five for scoring through all classes were part of the annual CRANDIC field Wednesday at Gardner Golf Course.

Cedar Rapids Prairie’s Addie Berg fired a 2-over 74 to repeat as medalist at the CRANDIC meet Wednesday at Gardner Golf course. Linn-Mar claimed consecutive crowns at the event, winning the team race with 338.

Solon’s boys’ golf team produced the best back-to-back seasons in program history. The consecutive state runner-up performances come with more confidence than pressure, but it leaves one thing left to achieve.

The Kohawks tallied 27 hits and 18 runs in doubleheader sweep over the Rams, giving Coe a 7-4 advantage in the 2022-23 Bremner Cup Series between the two schools. Skyler Stookey had five hits with two home runs and five RBIs to boost the Kohawks.
