Minnesota utility regulators on Thursday ruled that a carbon dioxide pipeline that’s been proposed by an Iowa-based company should undergo the most thorough environmental review available under state law.
However, the Iowa Utilities Board denied further consideration regarding 200 megawatts of solar and 75 megawatts of battery storage at Duane Arnold.
On Monday, representatives of the Iowa Utilities Board, utilities, cooperatives and associations across the state gathered in Des Moines to discuss their preparation in advance of wintry threats.

Critics say ethanol is on its way out because of electric vehicles and tax credits should go to actual emission reductions.
