Body of missing Washington County kayaker has been recovered

BRIGHTON — Washington County authorities have recovered the body of a kayaker who went missing Saturday night.
The body of David A. Woodson, 52, of Brighton, was recovered around 4:39 p.m. Monday, according to a news release.
Woodson was last seen around 6:50 p.m. Saturday when his kayak flipped while he was on the Skunk River. A friend kayaking with Woodson called the Washington County Communications Center to report him missing.
Authorities had been searching since Saturday night.
