The Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department’s Rollin’ Recmobile will begin its summer schedule on Saturday at the Downtown Farmers’ Market. This year, two Rollin’ Recmobile vans will bring recreation equipment, games, and staff to lead activities at parks, expanding opportunities for kids. There is no cost to participate.

The Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival has announced the 2022 Heroes: Willie Ray Fairley, Robert Feiereisen and Bridgette Robinson. Selected through a community nomination process, they will be honored at The Tribute to Heroes Dinner on June 17 and act as parade marshals in the Freedom Festival parade on June 25.
