Raising Cane’s opens Iowa City location

IOWA CITY — A new Raising Cane’s location, anticipated for several months, opened on Aug. 27 in downtown Iowa City.

The chicken finger chain site at Old Capitol Town Center, 201 S. Clinton St., Unit 142, is Raising Cane’s third location in about three years.

Former tenant Panera Bread closed in October 2021.

The downtown spot follows a Coralville opening in April 2022 and a Cedar Rapids opening in March 2023. The chain has more than 700 locations across the country.
