Coralville Raising Cane’s opening April 26

CORALVILLE — Chicken finger fans, rejoice. After teasing the public with signs on the outside of its new site at 2800 Commerce Dr. for months, Raising Cane’s is set to open its first Corridor location on April 26.

Between Casey’s and Wendy’s, the opening was previously set for earlier in April before it was changed to Wednesday.

The new location will be the first Raising Cane’s in the Corridor after a location previously planned in Cedar Rapids fell through. Franchisee Southern Hospitality Ventures planned to open at 230 Collins Rd. NE by fall 2021. That location was previously home to Ryan’s Family Steakhouse.

The Coralville location’s first day in business will be its grand opening, as the chain does not hold “soft openings,” according to a representative for Raising Cane’s.
