Pedestrian injured on Highway 100 in Cedar Rapids
Man sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car early Saturday morning

A male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while on Highway 100, near Interstate 380, in Cedar Rapids’ northeast quadrant, around 12:30 a.m., according to Cedar Rapids Police.
The man sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and later also was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A portion of Highway 100, west of I-380 southbound, temporarily was closed during police investigation.
Police did not provide any additional information on the identity or condition of the pedestrian.
