Driver killed in Linn County semi crash on Highway 1 identified

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office has identified the driver killed in a collision with a semi tractor-trailer Saturday as 22-year old Kyle Goodell of Marion.
Goodell’s 2004 Toyota Camry crossed the centerline on Highway 1, south of Light Road in Mount Vernon, and struck the northbound semi shortly before 10 a.m.
Goodell was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
The incident remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
