The trial for Alexander Jackson, accused of fatally shooting his parents and sister last June, will not go in April. It will be bumped out, possibly past the one year anniversary of the fatal shootings. His lawyers also plan to ask for a change of venue.

A Coralville man pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide and unintentionally causing the death of Dawn Stout, 40, of Cedar Rapids, April 1, 2020. He passed another car in a construction area near Palo and crash head-on into a car driven by Stout. Stout died at the scene.

A Davenport woman has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old Illinois girl. The woman is accused of helping the shooter, Marshawn Jackson, flee to a Davenport motel after the shooting last July.

The 19-year-old charged with fatally shooting a 15-year-old girl in Cedar Rapids last summer was on probation for trafficking a stolen gun. He had received a deferred judgment a month before the deadly shooting.
