High school volleyball: Springville’s Jacobi mother/daughter duo will team up for at least one more match. The Orioles sweep North Cedar in a Class 1A regional semifinal.

Springville High School took on North Cedar High School during the 1A regional volleyball semifinal on Monday, October 27, 2025. Springville won the game 25-23, 25-18 and 25-20.

Five Gazette-area 2A and 1A volleyball regional semifinals to watch Monday. Veteran Rowan Jacobi will match wits with rookie Caylee Jensen in Springville’s 1A showdown with North Cedar.

Iowa High School Athletic Association released the first-round playoff pairings for Class 2A, 1A, A and 8-Player. Alburnett will host Crestwood in the opening round of 2A.
