A Coralville man, who owns a child care center with his wife, was arrested Monday for allegedly sexually abusing a child under the age of 14 while the child was in his care.

The attack took place in April 2021 at an apartment complex in Marion. His trial will now be scheduled.

James Shannon Sr., 50, faces three counts of third-degree sexual abuse, accused of sexually abusing a teenager in 2005 and 2006.
