Three of Iowa’s four GOP House representatives won reelection, and the fourth was too close to call Wednesday morning.

As of early Wednesday, and with 19 of the 20 counties in Iowa’s 1st District reporting, Republican U.S. Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks led Democratic challenger Christina Bohannan by a mere 413 votes out of more than 407,000 cast.

In interviews with The Gazette on Tuesday, voters listed a number of issues that motivated them to participate in the election: immigration, abortion, the economy, world politics, and even the campaigns’ text messaging habits.
