Czech Town Station bringing new breakfast fare to Czech Village

CEDAR RAPIDS — A new breakfast and lunch joint from the Nanke Group is opening soon in the Czech Village.
A representative for the restaurant said the new site, two doors down from Lion Bridge Brewing Co. at 69 16th Ave. SW, will open by Feb. 6. The space was formerly home to Lost & Found Provisions and Spirits.
It’s unclear when the former occupant closed. The space was vacant throughout 2021 and the most recent reviews on Google and Yelp were posted more than two years ago.
With breakfast, lunch and cocktail options, Czech Town Station’s menu will be elevated but approachable, with classics like French toast alongside less common options like breakfast chimichangas with chimichurri. The latter is not offered by any other restaurant in the Czech Village.
The restaurant group has been expanding in rapid order. Czech Town Station will be Nanke’s second opening in the past two months, after Crosby’s opened in NewBo. The organization, which also owns Midtown Station, is planning two more locations in the near future.
Czech Town Station may have a similar breakfast menu to its sister restaurant, Crosby’s, according to Crosby’s weekend brunch menu. On Saturdays and Sundays, diners there can order similar items, including four chimichanga options and ricotta strawberry French toast.
