CEDAR RAPIDS — A new restaurant from the Nanke Group is open in NewBo after much anticipation.
Crosby’s held its soft opening in early December at 1028 Third St. SE. The location was previously home to The Pig & Porter, which closed in July 2019 after three years in business.
A sister restaurant of Midtown Station, Crosby’s executive chef Ryne Bly serves modern American dishes including burgers, pasta, steak, salmon and Banh Mi behind its floor-to-ceiling windows in the space neighboring Raygun. Appetizers include crab cakes, baked Brie and burrata. Crosby’s also serves brunch on weekends.

Crosby’s signage, “established in 2020,” memorializes the delay the restaurant endured with pandemic complications before opening in late 2021.
