CEDAR RAPIDS — A popular hibachi and sushi spot is growing.
Coyle’s Hibachi Chef has opened a second location across town in southwest Cedar Rapids. The new location, 555 Gateway Place SW, was previously home to El Bajio Mexican restaurant.
The latest move for owner Jeff Coyle follows his first brick-and-mortar opening at 3847 First Ave. SE on Dec. 22 — where Winifred’s Restaurant & Bar used to be.
The restaurant, which features a range of sushi and Japanese options, first started as a food truck in 2021.
