Dec. 30, 2022 7:08 pm
CEDAR RAPIDS — A hibachi and sushi spot has opened its first dining room after about a year in business as a food truck.
Coyle’s Hibachi Chef’s first permanent location, 3847 First Ave. SE, first started sporting new signs in October. The building, vacant for a couple years, was previously home to Winifred’s Restaurant & Bar.

After much anticipation, the new location opened on Dec. 27.

Owner Jeff Coyle said the food truck will remain open at its regular location, 3221 Center Point Rd., effectively giving the restaurant two locations. The truck will be temporarily closed for the winter season from December to March.
In addition to dine-in, customers can continue to take advantage of their catering service through the new location.
