West Amana man faces burglary charge

NORTH LIBERTY - A West Amana man faces 25 years in prison for breaking into a garage and getting into a fight with the resident.
Police said on Oct. 17, 2014, 42-year-old Scott A. Skipton broke into a garage on Timber Wolf Drive in North Liberty. The resident came out into the garage while Skipton was going through his toolbox and a fight ensued, police said.
Police said the resident was able to identify Skipton from 'past business relations.” The victim required treatment at the hospital for injuries he suffered in the fight.
Skipton has been arrested and faces one count of first-degree burglary, a Class B felony.
