CORALVILLE - A Waterloo man is accused of attacking a man with a knife inside his home.
According to a Coralville police criminal complaint, on Jan. 26, 2015, officers were called to a residence on 14th Street for an assault. There, officers learned that the resident had suffered a cut to his rib area.
Police said the resident was injured when 52-year-old Patrick S. Riley forced his way into the victim's residence and shoved his head into a microwave. Riley then pulled a hunting knife on the victim and cut his rib area, police said.
Riley demanded money from the victim and when he was lying on the ground, Riley searched the victim's pockets. Police said Riley took cash from the victim and fled.
Riley has been arrested and faces one count of first-degree burglary, a Class B felony.
