Wanted man leads Cedar Rapids police on brief chase

CEDAR RAPIDS - A wanted man led police on a brief chase Friday afternoon.

Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow said that 37-year-old Timothy Feaker was wanted on several warrants. Department of Corrections officials tracked Feaker down to a possible address on Leisure Boulevard on NE. During their investigation, officials also located a stolen vehicle.

Buelow said that around noon on Friday, Department of Corrections officials, Cedar Rapids police and the US Marshall's Office went to serve warrants on Feaker. Feaker led authorities on a short vehicle and foot chase.

Feaker was captured and taken into custody on charges related to narcotics violations, probation violations and second-degree theft. Police said the vehicle involved in the chase, a 2015 Ford Taurus, was reported stolen on March 7.
