Victim identified in Keystone grain elevator accident

KEYSTONE - The Benton County Sheriff's Office has identified the Keystone man killed in Tuesday's grain elevator accident.
Authorities said 56-year-old Alan K. Kimm was vacuuming grain into a semi at a facility in Keystone at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday when a wall of corn surrounding him collapsed and covered him. Keystone and Van Horne fire and first responders, Belle Plaine Ambulance, the Benton County Sheriff's Office, Life Guard Helicopter from Cedar Rapids and volunteers tried to free Kimm from the corn for approximately 30 minutes, but were unsuccessful in their efforts.
Kimm was pronounced dead at the scene.
