Update: No charges filed after Iowa City police find occupants in incident involving suspicious vehicle

IOWA CITY - Update 7:30 p.m.:
According to a news release, Iowa City Police say they have located the vehicle in question. After police interviewed the vehicle's occupants, no charges are being filed over the incident in question.

Iowa City police are investigating a report of suspicious activity in the southeast part of the city.
Police said they took a report of a suspicious vehicle and occupants around 8:30 p.m. Monday. Two 13-year-old girls told police they were walking eastbound on Paddock Boulevard when a dark-colored SUV or van turned onto Paddock from Heinz Road and stopped next to them.
The girls told police that a man in the passenger seat of the vehicle attempted to wave them over and ask them a question. Police said the girls instead ran to a safe location.
Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information about this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 358-TIPS.
