Two hurt in wrong-way crash on Highway 13

MARION - Two people were injured Monday morning in a crash on Highway 13.
According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, a two-vehicle crash happened about 10 a.m. on Highway 13 north of Cottage Grove Parkway. Deputies said Robert J. Downey, 86, of Cedar Rapids turned north into the southbound lanes of Highway 13. His vehicle was hit head-on by a truck driven by Catherine E. Hill, 52, of Springville.
Downey and Hill were taken to Mercy Medical Center. Their injuries were not life-threatening.
Downey was cited for driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway.
