Thursday evening shots fired incident in Cedar Rapids leads to arrests

CEDAR RAPIDS - Three people - including one juvenile - were arrested Thursday evening after a shots fired investigation.
According to a news release, Cedar Rapids police responded to Fas Fuel, 1430 First Ave. NE, at 5:46 p.m. for a report of shots fired. Responding officers did not locate any victims, but witnesses provided information on the suspect vehicle.
Police located the vehicle and stopped it in the area of Second Street SW and Fourth Avenue SW. Three people were arrested.
Jordan Johnson, 19; Mykael Robertson, 18; and an unnamed juvenile all face charges of carrying weapons and possession of marijuana. Johnson faces an additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said an investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
Thursday night's incident is the latest in a spate of gun-related incidents dating back to Saturday. Cedar Rapids police responded to 53 Dartmouth St. SW at 11:40 a.m. Saturday for a shooting. A 31-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his shoulder area was found inside.
Police responded to a report of shots fired outside of Liquid Lounge at 12:06 a.m. Sunday. Two men suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds later showed up at area hospitals, but were unable to offer police any information about the shooting.
Later on Sunday, around 2:24 a.m., police responded to a report of shots fired at Woody's Show Club. A 31-year-old man was grazed under the chin by a bullet.
Police have not announced any arrests in the weekend shootings.
Adding Thursday's incident, there have been 65 shots fired incidents in the city this year.
