CEDAR RAPIDS - Cedar Rapids police are looking for the driver they say was involved in a hit-and-run that left a cyclist with life-threatening injuries.
Public safety spokesman Greg Buelow said first responders were called to the 700 block of Eighth Avenue SE at 2:15 a.m. Saturday for a report of a person down in the roadway. Responding officers learned the man - identified as Ronald L. Price, 60 - had been riding a bicycle and was hit by a vehicle.
The suspect vehicle is described as a white Chrysler 200. The Chrysler will have front end damage, probably to the grille, bumper, hood or windshield, Buelow said.
Price has life-threatening injuries and is being treated at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Buelow added.
Anyone with information on the suspect vehicle is asked to call Cedar Rapids police at (319) 286-5491.
