Jan. 13, 2016 12:36 pm
CEDAR RAPIDS - Police are investigating after a man showed up to an area hospital with stab wounds.
According to public safety spokesman Greg Buelow, a 20-year-old man came to St. Luke's Hospital around 5 a.m. Wednesday with non-life-threatening stab wounds. Roughly an hour later, a second 20-year-old man also arrived at the hospital. Buelow said the man was injured, but had not been stabbed.
Officers investigated and learned that some incident had occurred at 59 Dartmouth St. SW, the circumstances of which are still under investigation. A third subject was at that residence when police arrived and officers are trying to determine whether more people are involved.
Buelow said there was 'some type of dispute” at the Dartmouth residence, but they are trying to determine how each subject was involved. Police were investigating a search warrant at the residence on Wednesday.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
