Shots fired in northwest Cedar Rapids; no injuries reported

CEDAR RAPIDS - Police are looking for the occupants of two vehicles suspected of shooting at each other late Wednesday morning.
Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow said officers responded to a report of shots fired at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday near D Avenue and Ninth Street NW. Multiple shell casings were found at the scene.
Buelow said police believe the occupants of two vehicles shot at each other. No injuries have been reported.
The incident remains under investigation and police are trying to find the suspect vehicles, a red or maroon Pontiac Grand AM and a tan Chrysler van, Buelow said.
