CORALVILLE - A second man has been arrested in a marijuana investigation in Coralville.
According to Johnson County Sheriff's Office criminal complaints, on March 30, members of the Johnson County Drug Task Force and Iowa City Police Department Street Crimes Action Team served a narcotics search warrant at 3701 Second St. in Coralville. Police said a search of the residence turned up marijuana, drug paraphernalia, packaging materials and a large amount of cash.
One of the residents, 48-year-old Dwain E. Feijo, had approximately four pounds of marijuana, two shotguns and ammunition in his bedroom.
Police previously arrested a second man, 22-year-old Brandon M. Feijo, of Oxford on charges related to the items found at the residence at the time the warrant was served. Before the warrant being served at the Coralville residence, police said Brandon Feijo sold two pounds of marijuana to an undercover officer. Police said they had also made multiple purchases from Brandon Feijo in the month leading up to his arrest.
Brandon Feijo faces three counts of a controlled substance violation and one count each of failure to affix a drug tax stamp and possession of a firearm as a felon. All of the charges are Class D felonies punishable by up to 5 years in prison. He has not yet entered a plea in that case, according to online court records.
Dwain Feijo faces charges of controlled substance violation and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, both Class D felonies; and keeping a drug house, an aggravated misdemeanor.
