Police: Woman racked up nearly $20,000 in charges on grandparents’ credit cards

CORALVILLE - A Coralville woman is accused of racking up nearly $20,000 in fraudulent charges on her grandparents' credit cards.
According to Coralville police, over the course of two months, 32-year-old Leslie A. Cady used her grandparents' credit cards to buy merchandise and online games, rent motel rooms and obtain cash advance withdrawals. Cady's unauthorized purchases totaled $19,265.11, police said.
Cady has been arrested and faces charges of first-degree theft and unauthorized use of a credit card. Both offenses are Class C felonies punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
