IOWA CITY - The person injured in Monday night's shooting at the Pheasant Ridge Apartments remains in stable condition.
Iowa City police Sgt. Scott Gaarde said Wednesday that no arrests have been made and the investigation is open.
Officers were called to Pheasant Ridge, 2626 Bartelt Road, around 5:27 p.m. Monday for reports of a shooting and a person on the ground. On arrival, officers found one person had been shot. That person was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Authorities said the shooting 'does not appear to be random.”
'The investigation thus far has confirmed the shooting stemmed from an isolated incident and there is no further threat to the Iowa City community,” police said in a news release Wednesday.
