Police identify victim in fatal crash

Cedar Rapids police have identified a Central City man as the victim in Tuesday's fatal crash.

According to police, 29-year-old David Hannen was killed Tuesday after his motorcycle collided with a truck driven by 57-year-old Jeff Huber, of Marion. Police said Huber was driving a Ford Ranger south on Center Point Road NE at 5:01 p.m. Tuesday and was making a left turn onto 32nd Street NE. At that same time, Hannen was northbound on Center Point Road NE. Police said Huber turned in front of Hannen and their vehicles collided.

Hannen was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation and police have asked anyone who witnessed the collision or who has additional information to contact the Cedar Rapids Police Department at 319-286-5377.

No charges have been filed in connection with the fatal crash.
