CEDAR RAPIDS — Ten to 15 rounds were fired during a shots fired incident in southeast Cedar Rapids Tuesday night.
Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow said officers responded to a report of a fight and shots fired near the intersection of 16th Street and Park Avenue SE around 7 p.m. Tuesday. There, officers learned the incident began as a fist fight between at least two people.
Eventually, the fight escalated to a shots fired incident during which 10 to 15 rounds were discharged.
No one was injured during the disturbance, but a parked car and home were both hit by bullets, Buelow said. No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation, Buelow said.
