One person injured in possible explosion at Oakland Road apartment complex

One person has been seriously injured in what is being investigated as a possible explosion at an apartment complex.

Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Beulow said fire crews were called to 1414 Oakland Road NE at 4:28 p.m. Tuesday. They remain on the scene.

It is unclear at this time if more people have been hurt.

Oakland Road NE between H Avenue NE and 29th Street NE is closed while officials respond.
