One dead in Interstate 80 crash

IOWA COUNTY - One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday evening on Interstate 80.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the 22-year-old driver - who has not been identified - was eastbound in the construction zone near the 211 mile marker at 6:44 p.m. Authorities said the driver lost control of the Chevrolet Express van, entered the median and rolled.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the state patrol.
Ten people - including the driver - were in the van. Four others were taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
