North Liberty police find meth, marijuana after traffic stop

NORTH LIBERTY - A Beaman man was arrested on Monday after police found meth and other drugs in his truck.
According to North Liberty police criminal complaints, an officer pulled over 28-year-old Dustin R. Susie around 9:30 p.m. Monday. Police said Susie was placed under arrest for driving with a barred license.
While the arresting officer was searching Beaman's truck, he could smell marijuana, police said. Police located a plastic bag of marijuana between the center and passenger seats. The search also turned up a black pouch containing a pipe and a metal container with two plastic bags inside.
Police said one bag contained meth and the other bag contained acetaminophen and hydrocodone.
Susie was arrested and faces two counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of driving while barred and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
