Names released in fatal Benton County accident

BENTON COUNTY - Update:
The Iowa State Patrol has released the identity of the woman who was killed and two others who were injured in an accident on Highway 30 Monday morning.
According to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, Delores Pickering, 78, of Newhall was killed in the two-vehicle collision.
Charles and Regina Ancelet, both 63, of Norway, were listed as being injured in the accident, according to the report. The report noted that both Ancelets used their seatbelts and were transported by Area Ambulance to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids for treatment of their injuries.

One person is dead and two more are injured following an accident on Highway 30.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:45 a.m. Monday north of Norway. Authorities said the driver of a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche was northbound on 30th Avenue. At the same time, the driver of a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox was eastbound on Highway 30.
Authorities said the driver of the Avalanche failed to stop at the intersection with Highway 30 and collided with the Equinox. The identities of the deceased and two people injured are being withheld at this time.
The collision remains under investigation.
