Missing Linn County Jail inmate captured

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Linn County jail inmate who failed to return from a court-ordered furlough has been captured.
According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, 42-year-old Joshua J. Smith was arrested by deputies at 10:42 a.m. Wednesday at a home in the 1000 block of Bridgit Court SE. Smith was returned to the jail and has been charged with escape.
Smith was released from the jail on April 12 on a court-ordered furlough and failed to return on April 19. He was serving time for revocation of a pretrial release.
