CEDAR RAPIDS - Police arrested a man after he allegedly assaulted a woman and was found with a meth lab.
Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow said officers were called to the area of First Avenue and 24th Street East at 4:13 p.m. after callers reported seeing a man dragging a woman. Responding officers found the man and woman and identified the man as Calvin J. Robertson, 31, of Cedar Rapids.
Police said Robertson was discovered to have a no-contact order with the woman he was dragging. Robertson and his backpack were searched and police discovered a one pot-style meth lab and items used to manufacture meth.
Robertson was arrested and faces three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count each of manufacturing meth in the presence of minors and violation of a no-contact order.
