MARION - A Marion woman was killed and a Cedar Rapids man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday.
Marion police and fire, the Linn County Sheriff's Office and Area Ambulance responded to a crash with injuries in the 3000 block of Highway 100 at 10:49 a.m. Saturday. On Monday, police identified those involved in the crash as 19-year-old Zoee E. Norton and 31-year-old Justin Roberts of Cedar Rapids, the weekend weather anchor at KGAN. Police said Norton's injuries were fatal, but Roberts' are considered non-life threatening.
According to police, Norton was eastbound on Highway 100 when she lost control and slid across the median into the westbound lanes. Police said Norton's car was hit on the passenger side in a truck driven by Roberts. Neither vehicle had any passengers.
