Marion man accused of leaving one-year-old in Taco Bell parking lot

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Marion man is accused of leaving his one-year-old child in a Taco Bell parking lot after being involved in a crash.

According to the Linn County Attorney's Office, on Wednesday, Trevor J. Brickson, 24, was driving and was involved in a collision. Authorities said Brickson pulled his van into Taco Bell, 624 First Ave. NE, left the van there and left the area.

Brickson's one-year-old child was inside the van when he abandoned the vehicle, authorities said.

Taco Bell employees found the child and contacted police. Brickson was arrested when he came back to Taco Bell about two hours later, authorities said.

Brickson has been charged with driving while barred and child endangerment.
